AF BMT Graduation Day 4

I have so many pictures that I want to share, but it takes so long to upload them all to my blog and so I have been dragging my feet to get up the rest of graduation. I apologize. I really want to share with you what happened.... It just takes so much time. I will try to be better.

Day 4!
On Saturday I was able to pick Chris up at 9am and we spent the morning together. LeAnn came and picked us up and we went and bought Chris luggage for going to Tech School. LeAnn brought us lunch and she even brought doughnuts. Chris was pretty happy about the doughnuts. I should have documented the moment, but it was gone so fast. :-)

We then headed to Sea World! It was the craziest thing all of a sudden it started pouring and within 1 minute (no joke 1 minute) the streets were flooded and you couldn't see more than 5 feet in front of you. I was really happy that I wasn't driving because I would have started crying. I'm so grateful that LeAnn was able to get us through the freak storm safely! It only lasted about 5 minutes. At first I was really excited because I love the rain, let's be honest, it just doesn't rain like that in Palm Springs, but then it got kinda scary because the streets were really flooded!

So once we made it to Sea World we got in line and got out tickets, for FREE!!!

I thought that the glass block arch was actually pretty impressive.
Getting out tickets!

So, once we were in Sea World it started to pour on us again and so we had to run over and buy an umbrella in the gift shop. It was seriously so crazy how it would just start to dump and you would be running through puddles in seconds. I'm pretty sure my feet were wet the entire time we were at Sea World. Anyways... the first thing we did was go see the dolphins because I knew that I wanted to touch one. I was so excited when it was our turn. Sadly all of the pictures were awful and so I didn't want to buy any and I was too protective of my camera to bring it out and take pictures. Yes, I know, my bad! Oh well, what can you do!

After we got to touch the dolphins we headed over to the aquarium to see the fish and sharks. They had some pretty big sharks in their tanks.

It began to pour again and so we went and got something to eat so that we could sit out of the rain. All of the seating was outside though and so we had to put up an umbrella and wipe off the seats so our butts didn't get soaked. I got a funnel cake and Chris got ice cream. I was a little disappointed with my funnel cake. It wasn't the best I've ever had. But it looked good.
Notice all of the water on the table because everything was seriously wet!

We went to this show called Azul and it was really cool. It was nice to be under the roof while it poured, again. The show was pretty cool because they had whales, and dolphins and birds and then the people were dressed in these funky costumes to make them look like fish and stuff.
I seriously took too many pictures of the show, but they aren't that exciting unless you were there. So I have just added a couple to help you all get a feel for what it was like. Chris was pretty stoked about the seesaw swing because they did flips off it into the pool. He says we have to have one in our house now.... we will see about that... I can just see a bunch of broken bones and I don't really want to deal with that.

These dolphins (I know that they aren't really dolphins, but I don't know my marine biology well enough to say what they actually are.) were pretty cool because they were so in sync. It was sweet.

We went to this sea lion show too, but it was mainly for kids. I kept thinking the whole time that Joe, my nephew would have probably loved it. Part of it was funny, but it was mainly just a place to sit down because my feet hurt.

Sea World was a lot of fun and we were all exhausted by the end of the day. I was certainly ready to go home and take shower and get to sleep. I can honestly say that I have experienced humidity now and I don't really love it, especially in jeans. It would have been a lot more enjoyable if I was in shorts. Let's not even get started on what happens to our hair! There are no products and no hair appliances that can make your hair look good while in humidity. That is a fact!

Just one more day to go!!

AF BMT Graduation Day 3

After being able to spend time with Chris on Thursday I was still very excited to see him, but the anticipation from being apart for so long had worn off. Don't get me wrong, I was still the first one out of the bleachers again!

First thing in the morning LeAnn and I met up and took the bus over to the parade field. We waited in line for about 10 minutes and then got onto the bus. Apparently we should have picked different seats because ever time the bus turned the A/C unit on the other side would splash us with water. We just had to do our best to not think about where that water had been. It was gross.

Once we got to the parade grounds it was so cool to see this big field with the American Flag waving in the center. Their were planes on both sides in the back and once all of the graduates were on the field in their flights it was pretty amazing!

Seeing Chris again was so great! I came from the front to tap him out and so he could see me and i was funny to watch him try not to smile while he was standing at attention until I got to him! He is just so cute!

I really loved taking pictures with Chris because it gave me an excuse to get close to him!

It was really nice to be able to ride the bus together back to the car. The stupid A/C unit above us was dripping on Chris though. He was able to dodge the water drops most times, but a few got his pants wet.
Once we got back to the car we drove over to the squadron so that we could see Chris's dorm during the open house. It was pretty intense. It was nice to see that he finally knows how to do hospital corners on a bed. I don't know how many times I have tried to teach him.

We went to lunch at this Mexican restaurant and then we headed to the River Walk in downtown San Antonio. While we were down there we even went and visited the Alamo. It was all pretty cool.
Seriously, I think everything in Texas is just big. I asked for a glass of water and they gave me a whole pitcher! I have never seen a glass so big!
They certainly know how to make good Mexican food though. I ate my whole plate... I must have been hungry or something. It's not like I hadn't eaten the last two days because I was anxious to see my husband or anything....

Not really sure what those weird things are, but I think that they are roots. Trees might just be a little crazy in Texas too.

After going all morning and part of the afternoon we were all exhausted and so we spent the rest of the day just relaxing and I walked Chris back to the squadron just before curfew at 20:00.
