How We Met

Chris and I had American Foundations together at BYU-I in Winter of 2010. He got back from his mission, in Oklahoma, November of the previous year. So he was in his first semester. And I was in my second.

We both sat at the same table that seated about 5 along one side. He would sit with his friends, and I where every I could find a seat that day. So, we didn't always sit next to each other. One day we sat next to each other and he started to talk to me. It was exciting. (I was just trying to get over being dumped). I liked the attention. He was cute and it was nice to talk to someone. We flirted.

The next time I was in class I made sure to sit by him so we could talk again. Nothing. I was confused, but was not about to let it ruin my day.

It was time for the final in about a week and then the semester was going to be over. I sat in class for the review of what was going to be on the test. Class ended and totally overwhelmed I began to get up to leave. Chris came over and asked me if I wanted to study for the final with him and his friends. They had put together a small group. (He talked to me!!) I said I would love to and he got my number to let me know when are where to meet.

We studied diligently for the final. Then the day came. My final for my previous class ended early so I headed to American Foundations to wait. No one was in the room, but Chris. He was playing the piano on the stage. So, I went up to talk to him. He then, bluntly asked me about the birthstone that I wear on my left ring finger. I told him it was nothing. Something my grandfather gave me. He then looked relieved and began to talk my ear off. We exchanged facebook, I got his number, skype and talked about music the rest of the time we had before the final. Class began, we took the final and were then able to leave. Chris finished before me, but was waiting outside. I finished and met him outside. The fact that we were going to be living 15 hours away was not very exciting, but at the time I didn't think anything would come of it. We left with a hug and talk to you later.
